Shouwen Yu is a Professor of at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. He was with TU Darmstadt, Germany as Visiting Research Fellow under an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship. Yu was President of the International Congress of Fracture (ICF, 2013-2017) and has elected as Honor Fellow of ICF. He is Vice President of China Engineering Education Accreditation Association Accreditation (CEEAA). He was former Vice President of International Federation of Engineering Education Societies (IFEES) and former Vice-President of Tsinghua University. He has worked in the fields of fracture mechanics and higher engineering education in last several decades. Yu has published 6 books and more than 500 papers. He is a member of editorial or advisory committee of several international Journals. He received IFEES President’s Award and two National Awards in China.
